TCF Center Hospital - Detroit, MI

PCP was contracted to help build a 1,000-bed temporary hospital for Covid-19 patients in the TCF facility in Detroit.  The work included temporary showers and bathrooms for the nurses and doctors, and enclosed tunnels to move between areas where infected patients were housed into sterile areas.  The Army Corp of Engineers brought in trailers that needed to be connected with wood decks along with a temporary ambulance entry for the new hospital.  All of these areas also required doors and hardware that were automatic open and shut as to keep touching of surfaces to a minimum.  The completion of this work needed to be done in two weeks.  PCP had on average of 25 men working for as much as 12 to 16 hours to get this work done on time.  The temporary hospital was done on time and ready for the first patients.
