Pfizer Modular Aseptic Processing Facility - Kalamazoo, MI
PCP has been awarded Pfizer’s new Modular Aseptic Processing (MAP) facility with over 420,000 square feet of space. This new facility will be “One of the most technically advanced sterile injectable facilities in the world”, according to Senator Debbie Stabenow. According to Pfizer, this $450 million facility is expected to bring approximately 450 new jobs to Kalamazoo. This project will continue to anchor Pfizer in the Kalamazoo area for years to come and further establish the life science sector in Southwest Michigan. PCP mobilized on site in June of this year and has completed ½ of the building and the link as of 12/31/2022. PCP averaged 20 crew members during the peak to get MOD1, which is the east half of the building, enclosed prior to October. Logistics, Pfizer’s safety protocols and having multiple trades working in the same area has demanded pristine coordination by the PCP management team to keep the job on track, ensure safety and increase profit to make this a successful project.
