Project Name: University of Michigan Computer Science and Engineering
Location: Ann Arbor, MI
This $40 million, 100,000 sf University of Michigan building designed by Diamond + Schmidt Architects houses research laboratories, two classroom auditoriums, and two computer assisted engineering network laboratories. Additionally featuring wireless internet in the entire structure, the building includes a four-story staircase in a natural light enriched atrium plus a café. With the intentions to foster interaction, the facility includes 56 faculty offices and offices for graduate students, as well as informal lounge and meeting areas throughout the building.
